my influences

This illustration is an emotional expression of my present life and the many influences that surround me. This illustration is a vector illustration. For a wire frame view roll your mouse over the image.

inspiration

A magazine that I used to get when I was little inspired this illustration. I always went straight to the page where you search for hidden pictures. This illustration has the same concept except with a little twist.

process

This illustration was very simple. Using Illustrator I started out by tracing the outline of a tree with the pen tool, then the other objects slowly popped into my mind as the illustration progressed. All of the other illustrations were done free hand with the pen tool.

challenges

Being constrained to black and white was a challenge, also I wanted the different shapes to be recognizable but at the same time blend in. I am always up for a challenge of this nature and had a really fun time creating this illustration.
